At 17:34 hours Bishopville was alerted to 10200 BLK of Bishopville Rd. for a Motor Vehicle Accident with injuries vehicle reported over turned, car vs telephone pole. 900 Paramedic 2 went responding seconds later, and central advised them there was two patients, vehicle over turned, with a telephone pole on fire and gas leaking from the vehicle. On arrival the EMS crew found two patients entrapped in the vehicle that was over turned in a ditch. Command requested an additional ALS crew from Showell and Maryland State Police - Aviation Command Trooper 4 due to an extended extrication. Engine 906, Rescue 9, and Brush 9 arrived minutes later and assisted with extrication, and stabilization of the vehicle. A hand line was requested off Engine 906 to be placed in service throughout the extrication. Command requested a Engine from Showell Volunteer Fire Department as well for the landing zone. One patient was loaded in each ambulance and taken to the landing zone at the Bishopville Park where both patients where transported to PRMC. Delmarva Power responded to the scene and restored the power shortly after units cleared the scene.
