Our department is comprised of 50 volunteers that are at the communities call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We have a variety of trained personnel from basic firefighters to Nationally Registered Paramedics. The department has two stations, three engines, one tanker, one rescue, one engine tanker, one brush, one utility and two ambulances. As departments there are always boots that need filled to help the community. We want  you and need you to help us. There is  always a job that needs to be done, from helping with fund rasiers, to administrative duties.

If you become an active firefighter here are some incentives to think about, active FF that make 50 points a year gets a tax subtraction from the State of Maryland. In 2021 that subtraction was $6,500 and will increase to $7,000 for 2022 and beyond. Worcester County offers Length of Service Award Program for those serving 25 years.
