On todays date we remember all those involved in the happenings of September 11, 2001. Every year the Bishopville VFD participates in the Red Knights Memorial ride from the boardwalk in Ocean City to the Millsboro Elks club. During this ride the Bishopville VFD with the support of the Selbyville and Roxana Volunteer Fire Departments raises two tower trucks, draping a flag across the road. The Red Knights then ride underneath as a memorial with escort from the Worcester County Sheriffs Office and a Paramedic Unit from Bishopville. The alarm sounds from the first bike to the last bike honoring all 343 firefighters that gave their all during this time.
