MVC with entrapment - US113 and Bishopville Road

At 11:23am on Friday February 5th, 2016 Bishopville Fire Department was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 113(Worcester Highway) and Bishopville Rd with entrapment. Upon arrival 955 advised that a van was underneath a liquid petroleum tanker, with two victims trapped in the van. Both occupants of the van were pronounced dead on arrival of the Paramedic unit. Showell Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist along with Selbyville Fire Company. Both north and south bound lanes were closed for an extended period of time due to the incident. The Worcester County Hazmat Team and the Maryland Department of Environment was called to assist with the tank. Special thank you to Roxana Fire Company for assisting with the Rehab unit and all other units and personnel on the scene for there assistance.
