Monday, May 15, 2017

At 15:57 hours Bishopville was alerted for one Engine to Standby at Sussex County Station 88. And one Tanker to respond to Hickory Street to assist with a multi alarm fire. Shortly after Engine/Rescue 902 arrived at Station 88 it was requested to the scene to assist with water supply. The towns water tower was quickly getting lower and by 16:40 hours the town advised Command there was 20 minutes of water left in the water tower supplying hydrants. Engine/Rescue 902 along with others began shuttling water from a well pump. After depleting the towns well pump, the shuttle was moved to Dagsboro Fire House. All personnel cleared the scene at 20:30 hours. Tanker 9 and Engine Rescue 902 were on scene with 6 personnel from Bishopville.
